SHUSH: I don't know what I've been told,

Someone here is getting old.

The bimbos asked me out to dinner for an early celebration for my 18th birthday. The three of us were so excited because the last time we had a proper dinner together was like, what, News Years Eve??

At 7.10 pm sharp, I went and picked Min up. We were excited about the new place we were going, Bubba Gump. We had always wanted to go there, even before it was opened but we didn't have an excuse to spend so much for dinner. I asked Min if Yin made reservations? Yes, it was under Ms. Chan. We laughed our ass off at that. It was so weird. Ms. Chan ar Ms Chan

In the car

While we were stuck in traffic jam on the summit road, Min was furiously sms-ing and not paying attention to what I was saying. I was a bit annoyed at that, and so she quickly explained that she was quarrelling with Wui Yang. I was like wtf? Isn't he in UK? How much is an sms? thinks, waste money on sms to quarrel somemore She went on explaining the reason why they were quarelling, the contents of it I shall not reveal ; )

I was really surprised by Min's enthusiasm though. She was so excited and kept gushing about how the three of us can finally have dinner together. It was s unlikely of Min. I mean yeah, she's enthusiastic but not that much. Wow, she must have really missed us, I thought.

After going through the hassle of searching for a parking for my Kembara and going to the Ladies to check our own reflection in the mirror, we headed for Bubba Gump. We were instantly greeted by a waitress and Min said we made reservations under Ms. Chan. This is where I got so irritated and turned off. The waitress didn't seem to know how to bring us to our reserved table, she called another waiter who called another waiter and we ended up with so many waiters and waitresses asking us,

"table for two?"

"No? Did you make any reservations, miss?"

"Under who, miss?"

"Miss Chan? Oh, alright."

*disappears into back of restaurant*

Min and I were so lost and other customers were starting to stare at us. Then this waitress came,

"Your reservation is under Miss Chan, right? Have a seat please, while we check. Would you like to order a drink first? It's the fifteen one right?"

"Fifteen?" I was completely lost, I didn't get a single thing she was saying. I just wanted to get to our seats and have those people stop staring at us, it felt like we were blacklisted customers trying to break into the restaurant.

Min showed her dulan face. "WTF? Stupid idiot. $%&*(%@# So stupid one the waitress? Would you like a drink? WTF. Just get us to our seats lar. Wtf, I hate her. Damn idiot,"

"Min! Chill lar, why so angry?" confused with Min's sudden lost of temper. I mean, yeah they are all so blur but wah, no need so angry until "i hate her!" right?

Two minutes later, another waiter came and escorted us to our table. On the journey there, Min went on cursing loudly and patently. I was so embarrassed by it, the waiter escorting us actually heard what Min said and he had this ohmygod!-so-fierce-this-woman-just-smile-and-wave look on his face. And I shot him an apologetic smile. I really don't get why Min was so pissed.

We walked for so long and so far, deep into the restaurant. I started smelling something fishy. We arrived at this special room deep inside the restaurant and it was nicely decorated with balloons. I saw Yin's pretty face and Abel next to her, my insides lit up and I rushed to her, arms extended to give her a nice big hug.

As I got closer to the room, I saw figures moving behind the wall.

I got even closer and saw a bunch of people squeezing and pushing each other behind the wall, trying to stay out of sight.

When I stepped into the room, I saw a bunch of familiar faces grinning up at me behind the wall.

I slowly recognized them, KY, Eng Wei, Kee Wei, Kar Mern...

and then it registered.

It was a surprise birthday party!!!

"SURPRISE!"

I did my famous oh-my-god-hands-cup-mouth thing as my tears start to well up in my eyes. I had no expectations at all and there they were, making me the happiest birthday girl on earth. All my lovely friends, all the people whom had spiced up my life, whom had made a difference in my life.

Then I told myself, "No, Debbay, no. Don't cry. Don't ruin your make-up." XD

And I didn't cry. Sorry to disappoint you all, I was crying in my heart lah k? =)

Silly Minnie was so pissed because the waitress blurted out about the 15 people party. I, being Debbie didn't even suspect a thing ofcourse. I thought she was talking about the price of the drink or something. Silly girl wasn't texting Wui Yang too, she was texting Yin Shi, updating her on our status lol
